Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Anton Rowe was born on April 21, 1970, in Atlanta, Georgia at the Grady Memorial Hospital to Deacon Thomas Rowe, Jr. and Sylvia Rowe. Dr. Rowe had a long journey as he furthered his education. Dr. Rowe began his journey at Cedar Grove Elementary and Cedar Grove High School in Ellenwood, Ga. After completing his public education, he was accepted to Morehouse College. After graduating from Morehouse with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion, Pastor Rowe accepting a merit scholarship to attend St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida. Dr. Rowe graduated from St. Thomas School of Law in Miami, Florida with a Juris Doctoral Degree. Pastor Rowe next stop was Luther Rice Seminary. Pastor Rowe completed his education from Luther Rice Seminary by graduating with a Master of Arts in Ministry Degree.

In 1990, as a sophomore at Morehouse, Pastor Rowe was license to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. In 1994, Pastor was ordained as the Youth Pastor of the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. Gregory Sutton. While in Miami, Pastor Rowe served as an Associate Minister for The Greater New Bethel Baptist Church. After completing his law school education in Miami, Pastor Rowe passed the Georgia Bar upon his first sitting. In the same year of becoming a license attorney in Georgia in 1997, Pastor Rowe accepted his first pastorate as the Senior Pastor of the Cofer Grove Baptist Church in Ellenwood, GA. In 1998, Pastor Rowe founded Upon This Rock Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga. While working as a full-time prosecutor, Pastor Rowe met a fellow prosecutor, Felicia Head. In 2000, Pastor Rowe and Felicia were married. Pastor Rowe and Felicia gave birth to three girls, Nevin (Dottie) Angelica (Angel) and Antonia.

In 2011, the Raymond Hill Missionary Baptist Church extended an offer to Pastor Rowe to serve as their Senior Pastor. While at Raymond Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Rowe led the church to increase its membership from twenty members to 240 members in attendance. In addition, an early morning service was added. A television ministry was commenced for the first time in church history. A building fund was commenced to prepare for a new sanctuary.

In 2016, the Greater Solid Rock Baptist extended an offer to Dr. Rowe to serve as their Senior Pastor Elect. While serving at the Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church, Pastor has increased the membership and attendance. Pastor Rowe led the church in a Mortgage Burning campaign. On January 20, 2019, The Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church celebrated burning their mortgage on their campus located at 6280 Camp Rd. Pastor Rowe an annual Daniel Fast where the congregation receive a spiritual and health benefit from this fast. Under Pastor Rowe leadership, the church purchased two church vans. Pastor Rowe also initiated a Marriage Ministry Sunday School Class and a Singles Ministry Class. While at Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church, Pastor Rowe published his first book entitled “The Sins of Our Fathers”. The book is available for purchase on Amazon.

Pastor Rowe led in several outreach and community service initiatives. Pastor commenced an Outreach Ministry and the Man to Young Man Mentoring Ministry. During the international pandemic, Pastor Rowe led the Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church to be beacon hope and light to the community. The Greater Solid Rock Baptist Church for over 19 months gave away monthly over two hundred boxes of food. Pastor Rowe has declared if they need the food, we will keep feeding our community.
